Kenan Sofuoglu begins recuperation in Turkey

Turkish champion ready to recover from injuries sustained at Phillip Island

After securing a points scoring finish in the opening round of the 2018 FIM Supersport World Championship season, Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Pucetti Racing) has returned back to his home country of Turkey, where he will begin recovery on his left leg following a fast crash in free practise. 

Inital reports suggested that the Turkish rider would need surgery on his leg, but after he visited a local hospital in Turkey, the 33 year old had it confirmed his injury would be able to recover naturally. Suffering from a fast crash at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Sofuoglu continued to compete on Sunday and was clearly riding through a pain barrier.

Now he is home he can fully spend his time recovering, and with a month to go until the Thai Round at Chang International Circuit he will be able to focus on his rehabilitation.
